Kristen Franklin is the Product Publication Manager at CodeVA.  She taught elementary school for 16 years and served as an instructional coach. She also co-wrote the National Education Association’s Computer Science (CS) microcredentials. Kristen is an experienced facilitator, leading professional development sessions for teachers and schools across Virginia. She has presented on CS, coaching, and integration at regional, state, national, and international conferences. Kristen serves as co-PI on an NSF grant project integrating CS with middle school social studies (Hard and Difficult Histories) in rural communities using asset-based pedagogy. Kristen has a passion for equity, leadership, education, and CS!
